SHTCTB is an acronym that stands for Super Hypo Tang Carrot-tail Baldy. The Super Hypo refers to absolute lack of spotting on the back; Tang is short for Tangerine (orange coloration), Carrot-tail refers to the orange on the tail; and Baldy refers to absolute lack of spotting on the head.

SHTCTB's hatch out black and orange banded, similar to a normal.


But before long, the black will fade completely and the orange will overcome the body of the gecko. There may be some spotting in the beginning stages of the gecko's growth.
