Many of the geckos we've produced are from Mack Snow x Line Bred Snow (Albey). A Line Bred Snow was created from breeding the whitest geckos from each generation back to each other to ultiamtely create the whitest Snow possible. Because of the line breeding, these Snows are different from Mack Snows in that the gene is not co-dominant and you cannot hatch a Super Snow from two Line Bred Snows.

Many people have asked us, when breeding this pair, "How can you tell if you hatch a Mack Snow or a Line Bred Snow?" I believe that you do not hatch either one or the other, but a mixture of the two. This is why we call them "Snows" or "Mack/Line Bred Snows." These Snows are technically one generation outcross from Albey's Line Bred Snow; and because of the Mack line, the offspring are believed to be able to produce Super Snows when bred back to each other.

Because Line Bred Snows have reduced spotting, the offspring tend to as well. Line Bred Snows can develop some yellow, but unlike the Mack Snows, the amounts of yellow tend to decrease as they age.

It was once believed that a Mack Snow and Line Bred Snow were unable to create Super Snows, but this has proven to be untrue, as we have hatched a total of three Super Snows from the pairing.

Here are some of our offspring from this pairing as hatchlings:

Some pictures of small juveniles, when banding begins to fade and turn into spotting

Some picture of larger juveniles with even more spotting
